“Average [debt-service-coverage ratios (DSCRs)]
for all four major property types increased from
the fourth quarter of 2010 to this past first
quarter. Multifamily properties led the field with
an 8.9 percent increase, from 1.36 to 1.48. Two
property types — multifamily and office — hit
all-time highs this past first quarter. The last
time all four major property types increased
their average DSCRs over the prior quarter in
unison was during the third quarter of 2009.”
