Over the course of 2017, the annualized pace of
multifamily construction starts ranged from a high
of 456,000 units in January to a low of 340,000 units
recorded in February, U. S. Census data shows. Over
the past six years, the annual count for multifamily
construction starts has often exceeded the long-run
norm of about 330,000 units, according to the National
Association of Home Builders.

Consumer spending on legal marijuana products
is forecast to more than double over four years,
reaching $21 billion in 2021, according to the
Cannabis Intelligence Briefing, a report funded by
ArcView Market Research. ArcView projects that a
total of 35 states will allow some form of marijuana
sales by 2021.
